Interesting reading with dramatic daily highs in many cities 2. Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? I have not found data on UHI in Dublin and suspect that UHI is not a problem of any note in Dublin or any Irish city. Its not to say that variations in the micro-climate do occur in summer time between urban and rural locations, but due to relatively low air temps and low density spacious street patterns, these are generally not an issue. (see google photos below) 3. Which are the measures you would propose? To address this phenomenon UHI should be a consideration in early stages of all urban and building design, rather than a problem which is later remedied. 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area?
