2.Brisbane's CBD is quite small and according to the temperature sensors in the city and outside of it, The CBD was cooler then the rural districts and hotter then others. The cooler sensors where on the coast and the hotter sensors were inland. Brisbane CBD is surrounded by a river and the the streets are quite wide and in a grid patten. Meaning that the air flow is quite good and it was quite windy today. ![View of the city from Southbank][1] ![Glasshouse Mountains][2] This area is about 1.5 hours drive north of Brisbane. It was .2 degrees cooler then Brisbane's CBD. 3. I would cover more ground areas with greenery and prioritise green roofs and vertical gardens. - put more public transport underground with excellent ventilation - use less concrete in landscaping - build building that have climate control without using electricity 4. There aren't many plans here at the moment. Unfortunately people in Brisbane are used to saying in the air-con or chilling at the beach. I don't see any policy in UHI in the near future.
