WZMH Architects (formerly known as the Webb Zerafa Menkes Housden Partnership) is an architecture company based in Toronto, Canada. The firm was founded in 1961. Since its inception, WZMH has built a reputation on innovative design, technical expertise and dynamic leadership The building, when completed will also be LEED Platinum certified. The building leverages a number of established tall building construction techniques utilizing reinforced concrete (water, cement, aggregate) , steel rods (rebar) and steel (an alloy of iron and carbon, typically coated with a mixture of plaster and vermiculite/mica for protection from corrosion and heat). Finally cladding or the skin of the building is typically from stainless steel, aluminum or some type of masonry material. With the volume of new construction in Toronto, it is very likely that a number of the key elements (aluminum, steel) may be sourced from international providers. Despite Canada's strength in natural resources; proximity to the United States may factor into the lower expense of imported building materials.
