The photograph below was taken in Guayaquil, Ecuador and belongs to the on-going national-government housing program denominated “Socio Vivienda 2”, located in north-western city, in the Prosperina sector, kilometre 26 of the Perimetral road. Materials employed in this construction, as in most buildings, are made of concrete reinforce. Cement is provided by the Holcim and Lafarge Group, and the main raw material, the clinker is mostly imported from China, whereas the steel comes from Asia and is provided by the military industry ANDEC S.A .
