Here in my city we don’t produce necessary materials for a modern building. In this photo I am showing you the new hospital of Salamanca (yet in construction). As we can see masons are using actual methods and materials, like reinforced concrete. This is a material which is produced by mixing steel, cement, and gravel and this is why I choose this photo, here in Salamanca we have not capacity or resources to produce cement neither steel. We have to import all of these materials to build a modern building, in this case a globalized economy we are living today is benefiting us, because if we couldn't import steel, cement or another materials maybe our buildings would be made of adobe or wood today.
