In the top right of the image, there are skyscrapers, inspired by societies in the West and East. In the bottom left is Souk Al Bahar, which is a combination of cultural influences - a shopping mall, designed to echo a traditional Arabian souq, complete with global restaurant franchises alongside vendors selling traditional nuts and offering photo opportunities with falcons. In the centre is the Dubai Fountain, inspired by the fountains in Las Vegas. The entire area was constructed on Arabian money, by Subcontinental labourers, and is maintained by global tourism and investment.
