I chose to talk about a public space called “Samir Kassir Garden”; it’s a memorial place, bordered by buildings at the Beirut central district on 3 of its sides and a street on the fourth. The square place is designed with a pool with decks and stone bench about 20m long along with a planted area. The deck is made from Burma teak from Myanmar chosen for its durability, and the stone used for the pool is Bardelio from Italy, as no local stone could be found with the requisite characteristics of colour and reflectivity
