[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14322791255382317.jpg Construction used to be a localised activity throughout the centuries in Italy. Buildings under construction have been receiving stone and wood materials from a range of 50-200 km, from the nearby hills. With the industrialization of the building construction this distance has expanded. Metallic elements like rebars and scaffoldings are being delivered from the Northern factories just as concrete and stone materials; heat insulation elements from Austria and Germany mainly, while glass elements from France and Germany. Machinery for construction is being produced in Northern Europe.
