The Building "The Night", located in Mauá Square, the center of the City of Rio de Janeiro, is considered the first building in reinforced concrete built in Brazil (1929). The building of 22 floors in the art deco style was once considered the highest in the country. It is quite emblematic both the structural and architectural aspect, as by their cultural significance. The building is also considered an architectural and urban milestone in the country. From its construction, it started a vertical process of Rio de Janeiro and he was one of the first to use this material (reinforced concrete) for various floors, thus introducing this type of economically globalized material in Brazil.
