The picture was taken on the outskirts of Madrid. Recently, the construction sector has started to run again and of course there is and will be a need of material construction. One of the main materials is cement. Taking data from 2013, the Spain production of cement was around 17 million tons a year. Even so it was still necessary to import some quantities (around 400.000 tons) and the main countries which supply Spain were Italy, Turkey, Ireland and Lebanon. Surely, as the construction sector is revitalized, more and more buildings as the one seen on the photography will require construction materials imported because domestic production will not give supply.
