This is a photograph that i took while working on the construction of this house. The house is located at Mexicali, Baja California México, the picture shows the house still under construction, the construction system that was used is called tridipanel. Although the system is used is made in the same city in which this house was built, we can see that the system is part of a globalized economy, the tridipanel is a prefabricated panel that consist of a insulated core of expanded polystyrene sandwiched between two-engineered sheets of steel welded wire fabric mesh. In this case the tridipanel displayed in this picture itself is made in the same city as the construction, but the materials of which its made out of come from other other parts of the world, like the machine that joins everything together that is a technology coming from austria, the steel welded wire fabric mesh is shipped from Texas USA, and the polystyrene is made in mexico but from different cities. Also the fact that is a prefabricated panel makes it easy to ship the product making it a component of a globalized economy, as it has been sent to Hawaii, Iran, Panama, Canada, Venezuela, this just from the mexican plant of tridipanel located in Mexicali, Baja California.
