![New Building in Berton, Ferrol, A Coruña][2] [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14301486571462108.jpg This picture was taken today (27th of April of 2015) in the new neighbourdhood of Berton in Ferrol, A Coruña, Spain. In the new building most of the materials employed were from different parts of the world. I now this as my company have performed the quality control assesment of the materials. Plastics, concrete, window frames, envelope, photovoltaics pannels, metals and very other materials are not produced in the surrounding area nor on this region of the world but in other parts of the country an also out of the European Community. In contrast we could see in the background an old and small house with a tile roof which was the traditionl construction in this part of Spain.Construction used to be a localised activity, but with the advancement of construction processes and construction materials almost every building contains components of a globalized economy.
