Generally speaking, the materials improvement and new technologies have created a new horizon for architects. Glass as material for the highest buildings facades, is the probe that materials have change. The assimilation of glass, concrete and steel are the beginning of a new architecture generation for those cities. Exposing the materials at they're natural look is the new trend. Buildings growing higher, straight lines, solid colors , transparencies and energy generation are the keys nowadays, however, and besides the beautiful shapes and looks, climate conditions are not always the best partners in our area, and we definitely have to explore into better ways to apply the materials beyond the aesthetic. As an example, The Legal Council of State takes place in a modern building in Athens, Greece, in one the central areas of the city. Its façade’s materials are evidence of a globalised economy. The dominant materials are glass at the office and commercial spaces and ceramic tiles on the back side of the building. Both materials are imported from other countries of Europe.
