The picture shows a newly built school in Atyrau, one of the emerging oil cities of Kazakhstan. As it can be seen in the image, it shows extensive use of contemporary materials like concrete, steel and glass. The glass panels used in the facade are one of the best examples of the use of building components of a globalized economy. The labels on the glass panels shows that they were produced in Turkey by [Pimeks Group][2] using a licence from [Schuco][3], Germany.
