The scale, the repetitivity and the popularity of the cold geometric forms and materials of the new buildings lack relevance to Bilbao’s character. For a regular passer-by this place is rather cold, windy, empty and easy to get lost in..if not the two remaining limestone facades. They seem to look act like a gate to the new, the red brick- facade of the new office premises might be a faraway reference to the local iron mines.. The size of preserved facades makes them barely noticeable in the neighborhood of the massive, ![enter image description here][1]characterless highrises.
