And in another cases, the imported materials are cheaper than the local ones, and that is the main reason because of getting the principal choice in the desicion making of building: The direct cost. For example, this picture was taken in an small office interior in Villahermosa, Mexico; and we can observe some globalized materials and products: **Blinds:** Manufactured in China and imported from USA. **Laminated Floor:** Manufactured in Austria with Chinese materials. **Vertical Cumaru Deck:** Treated Cumaru Wood imported from Brazil. **Wooden Frame for Cumaru Deck**: Imported from Canada (Pine Forest). **Zebrano Wooden Wall:** Manufactured in USA with African Woods. **Polyurethane Varnish:** Manufactured in Spain. (Wood Finish) **Electrical Outlets:** Manufactured in Chile. **Lamps and Lights:** Manufactured in China, and assembled in Mexico. **Sheetrock Ceiling**: Manufactured in USA. Finally, the material are selected by its cost and in this case, there are not regional options for some products similar to what is show in the picture. Understanding that in this culture (Mexico) it is still more valuable the imported goods than the local ones; plus the low cost of a great variety of products offered in the construction market. The phenomena is gradually increasing, the mass production, the focalization of each market segment; and the reality bite is realize what products are producing your society and which ones are included in your own economy. Economic Dependence.
