This photo depicts the construction of Copenhagen Arena, now named the Royal Arena. It is a construction in the Ørestad area of Copenhagen, an indoor arena that should be finished in 2016 and is meant for cultural and sporting events. The design of the arena that is under construction is said to be exceptionally Nordic, being "an expression of a strong Scandinavian design tradition in which quality, function and design form a synthesis". ([link][2]) From the photo it is visible that at the moment the concrete and steel constructions of the building are being put into place. The concrete works for the construction are being conducted by a Danish firm. The steel works on the other hand were, "for economical reasons", given to a Spanish firm, although all other competitors for the position were also companies from Denmark.
