[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14314465407960134.jpg A residential area of the Chennai city. Identical blocks each containing portions to provide shelter for 32 families. The information available at the first sight are, 1. The total possible number of families that can reside in the area. 2. From the size of each block and the number of portions of the same, one can determine the population since it clearly shows that these portions do not support that many number of people per family. 3. The colony is supported with individual water tanks to every single house. That means the amount of water consumption can also be determined. 4. The road we can see is the road withing the colony and the colony doesn't entertain trespassing and so, unwanted external factors such as pollution causing vehicles' emission is avoided. This signifies that the area is trying its best to be a little pollution free. 5. Transformers are there at every roads's end. That means that the colony is either largely or entirely dependent on the electricity that the government provides. No other alternative sources of energy is used. 6. The area on either sides of the road is left vacant for now. This can mean that this area is gonna be used for building pavements, thus letting the road be used for vehicle transportation.. Or, the same area can be used for tree-plantation. With the available size of the left out area, the potential number of trees that can be planted can also be roughly determined.
