The picture was taken in Katowice, PL. The largest city in the Silesia Agglomeration. The city - former coal and steel industry is currently transforming. City is facing the high pressure from the new settlements causing typical suburban problems. Southern region of the city used to be rural areas. Now the land is sold to developers and individuals, new houses, housing estates are establishing. Unfortunately the infrastructure is not ready to serve the rapidly increasing the number of population in this area. You can see that the land is excessively used within the plot, the distance between houses is the smallest the law allows, the parking spots are rare so cars are left on the streets. You can still see the small field with crops, probably soon the new place for next houses. What you can not see is the lack of technical infrastructure - eg. gas systems, the new houses are often heated by the coal, which causes the problems with low pollution and emission.
