- as mentioned I was amazed at the number of people out on a Tuesday morning. Of course they were attracted to the market but I would have expected that most people would be at work at this time of day and given the size of the town, this would mean that the streets were quiet. I’d be interested in knowing about the population movement and occupation to know where everyone has come from to come to the market (i.e. tourists or residents from surrounding villages or resident of Rochefort etc) and what they do for an occupation. I’d also be interested in knowing what attracts them into town as the reduction in popularity of the centre of town and the loss of commerce and jobs because of it is a rising problem in France and other parts of Western Europe. This information would be useful to apply to other towns in an effort to make the centre more attractive. - secondly the traffic around the market was terrible as the market itself was on the street (thus blocking access) and a lot of vans and cars were parked on neighbouring streets and crossroads making the traffic around the whole centre of town terrible. Information about parking and car movement before and during the market would help to plan the traffic routes better during market time to have smoother car circulation. Parking could also be planned to minimise impact to the traffic around town too. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14327044234012538.jpeg
