The visible information in this photo are A bus stand, People waiting for the Bus, Some Street Vendors Selling water, lime water, snacks etc, PaddleCarts or Riksha as we call it, A big tree in the background, few trucks far back standing, A modern building extreme right in the back. ---------- There are several invisible information we can derive from those visible information. ---------- People standing at the bus stand comes from all walks of life, such as a housewife, a school girl, a young guy, an office man, an old person, working lady etc. which signify that a mix of Landuse is around the place, including some commercial activity as verified by a no. of trucks standing there. It is also visible by reasonably clear backdrop of the bus stand that Builtform around the place is not as much and there is scope for densification or expansion. ---------- Presence of a no. of street vendors verifies the significant volume of people who used to come to this place for catching bus or Riksha ---------- Half of the Street vendors and people are Standing on the road covering approximately 4m ahead of the bus stand platform which shows that in order to catch a bus, people encroach the road and hence affecting the road capacity. ---------- From the above information one can be sure that significant volume of people who use the place everyday, presence of street vendors also tell us about the delayed frequency of the buses, which gives them business. So in terms of volume better facility can be planned at the place such as good Bus stand Design having proper space for people as well as for the vendors. This helps ensure that our road operation wont be bothered because of the bus stand. This will also help in providing better experience to the people who use the facility. It will help making our city more livable.
