Oviedo has about 200.000 habiants in the urban area. In this picture we can see the highway that delimits what is cosidered the center of the city from the outer city. Invisible here would be the intention that is latent everywhere in the city of "undertake" the highway by placing peatonal roads and parks above it. There is a project to do that, but it was pre-2008 crisis, and it's not clear now that it is going to be done soon. Another invisible one would be the extensive use of roundabouts in all the city. From mid-90's onwards the mayor Gabino proposed to put a roundabout in almos every intersection inside the city, plus peatonalising a lot of important roads in the center, solving the problem of traffic greatly. There was so many and so sudden, that many citizens refer to the roundabouts "gabinonas", a joke on the name of the mayor. Nowadays a lot of cities in the North of Spain are copying this effective system. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14343717846890665.jpg [2]: http://
