There is a bunch of invisible information contained in this picture: 1. Notice that there are many people in this picture. Since this is the train station, this is a central hub for many people leaving from or arriving to Osaka. From this, we could look at pedestrians paths and see where they go once in Osaka or are coming from once they get to the station and understand how the major pathways/routes could affect urban design. 2. We could also look at the energy needs of the train station, as well as the many shops, stores and restaurants housed within the station. While I took this picture, the temperature was pretty moderate since it was March. I guess that when temperatures get very hot or very cold, the energy needs of the station must increase dramatically. That dramatic increase most likely strains resources. Looking at the energy needs of this station and finding more sustainable methods for energy can contribute to a more livable urban space. Another interesting aspect is that at the top of the station is a green area filled with benches and trees.
