Image Edvaldo Pereira Paiva Street in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 2011. The invisible information that can be extracted: 1. Avenue with heavy flow of vehicles on weekdays, connecting two city extremes being blocked to cars on weekends and holidays to the exclusive use of people. 2. Behind the trees that are left in the image are inserted important buildings of the city as administrative, legislative offices, and other public departments, and behind the trees the right we have the Rio Guaiba, icon of the city and state. I chose this place because it encompasses various types and uses, and there is an attempt to organize a public space prioritizing people safety, with the road blocked to cars people on weekends often use the space of the road for biking, rollerblading, running, walking or just strolling; in this space there is also the contact with nature through the wooded area, which minimizes the visual impact caused by large buildings that are more in the background; and other key element is the view of the Guaiba River, which is simply magnificent because the size of the water and greenery in the surroundings; these aspects are attractive for people to come to the area to spend weekends and holidays, either to exercise or contemplation of nature, even in precarious urban facilities the place is frequented by many people at all times of the year, including in winter when the temperature drops dramatically.
