The port of Thessaloniki is the second biggest in Greece and its an important gateway for the Balkan hinterland and the Southeastern Europe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_of_Thessaloniki). The visible information at this picture are the cranes, the containers some small ships, some warehouses and buildings where offices of port are hosted. The invisible information of this picture is the number of the containers that everyday been imported and exported, the number of the cargo ships that anchor in the port and the number of passengers travel with the liner ships or the number of cruise passengers visit the city. The knowledge of the passengers that visit Thessaloniki by sea is important for the planning of a more liveable urban space, cause a liveable and organized city is more attractive to tourists than another less organized. Thessaloniki has an important amount of Byzantine monuments like churches and underground tunnels that with the right planning and the knowledge of the possible visitors, could become more famous while with the right advertising could attract more and more visitors .
