![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14292979538286568.jpg 1) *Visible information*: recently built dwellings with roofs of zinc and with exterior walls of bricks in a neighborhood of Polokwane, capital city of Limpopo province, South Africa; the streets are unpaved and the color of the ground is ocherous 2) *Invisible information*: the neighborhood has been a settlement in a rural region, but - due to the fact that the people are dependent on facilities in the city - various flows emerge, creating problems of transportation for poor families. The color of the ground indicates the extreme dryness of the area. A very important issue is (drinking) water supply and electricity supply. 3) The invisible information can create *knowledge* to make the neighborhood more sustainable and livable. Shortly after I have taken this picture, I have taken another one in another city quarter, characterized by a much higher standard of living of the inhabitants, by more green spaces and by the presence of a big water reservoir. It is a pity that in the poor area no water reservoir (pond) is not available! This simple comparison of invisible information can contribute considerably to the planning of a more livable urban space.
