During the last decade, there has been an increasing trend in the construction industry, with middle to high rise buildings replacing the traditional ones. This is also one the ‘greenest’ areas of the city. Invisible information: 1. Heavy traffic is one the characteristics of this part of the city. As it is one of the road axes of Tirana, it is used during almost all day to connect the city. This causes traffic jam, as well as parking problems along these roads. The ever-increasing number of cars contributes to the area being one of the most polluted in Tirana. 2. The rest of the city suffers from the lack of green spaces. The image gives the impression of a green city, but moving just next or beyond the residential buildings; public and green spaces are absent. Providing more green and park spaces for the citizens is a major concern for the city and this should be a priority for urban planning policies. Solving this problem, would contribute to air and life quality.
