This photo presents the heart of the city of Lyon in France, *la place Bellecour*. On this picture we can see it as a big empty space, on which people can walk on and join the main areas of Lyon along with the subway. It is also a good location to see one of the most touristic attractions of the city which is the Fourvière Basilica. However, this place has more signification. All year round many public and private events are happening on this place. It is also the starting point of many demonstrations. People refer to it as a convenient meeting point. In the middle of the place there is an equestrian statue of Louis XIV. The district has been the witness of many historical events, since Romanian ages. It is therefore characterized by its centrality and historicity: people know and cross this place inhabited by history. NB: I couldn't download my onw photo as it was too heavy.
