Stuttgart, Germany, 23.04.15 Visible information: - big building with grey front and less windows - a metro station (big white U) - advertisings - pavement and handrails - rails, overhead contact line, platforms - a building crane - a tree and a little bit grass Invisible information: - Traffic Of course you can see rails, but how often arrives a metro at this station? Are there also streets and cycle paths? Another invincible information is the amount of traffic. Are there times when the traffic and the number of people that use this place, gets critical? All that are aspects that can’t be seen in the picture. - People What kind of people use this urban space? Are there many offices or shops in the surrounding, or is there a popular museum. Are there apartments? And when yes, what kind of people live in there? By knowing the buildings and their function you can find out what kind of people use this urban area. How it can become knowledge: - People Collecting information about people that use this place, can become knowledge when you get to know what kind of people use this urban space and what are their needs. Do they need a good mobility or green areas, playgrounds and sport fields? By knowing what kind of people use this space and by knowing their behaviour, the city could be more adapted to the humans.
