(picture from internet from Cairo informal settlements) visible information -High Density built environment -low quality informal housing -lack of use of the roof only for satellite dish and pigeon (birds) tower -All buildings built with bricks and concrete Invisible information -Although the low social level of the area mostly all the residence have a satellite dish over the roof and this show the importance of the media sector on the social behavior of the people -The pigeon towers height reflects how string is the builder and its a competition between the residence and it also show that people are still connected to their rural origins -No place for storage (small floor areas) which puch the poeple to use the roof as a storage area -people care to live close to city center rather than the exterior form or finish of the building -Good structure experience by residence shown in the pigeon tower structures. To make places livable in planning new areas for people living in the informal settlements social study should take place to know poeple need like the need for placein the roof to build their own pigeon tower. Mass media is very important for the people with a big effect on their social behavior and its a basic now for nowadays people.
