A major challenge faced on infrastructure projects in developing countries: the registration of utilities and historical mapping are poor causing many "surprises" during execution. In the photo, it is shown part of Avenida Rio Branco site in the city center, close to areas declared as historical patrimony. The works were stopped due to the identification of a historical site. The importance of this findings is still under analysis but it should be highlighted that part of the hidden building was already disturbed by the installation of a gas pipeline and a optic fiber cable done many years ago. Back then, no reporting was done and the pipeline and cable pass directly through the site. The tramway will be full catenary-less system with low-floor vehicles (44m), comprising 6 lines and 28 km, connecting subway, trains, ferries, bus rapid transit, conventional bus lines and airport: http://portomaravilha.com.br/web/esq/projEspVLT_en.aspx ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14338845403592001.jpg
