The picture shows us of a renovation in the mall's facade. Local jeepneys line up at the mall's entrance and exits to drop and pick up passengers to and from the mall. The mall's design is somewhat 'boxy' and very angular. It is plain, viewed from the facade. Color seen from the mall's facade is from paint. There is a sign that warns passers-by of falling debris. The scene shows us what local inhabitants of the city's major means of transportation is. The picture shows us the potential danger passengers encounter when riding, getting in, and getting out of jeepneys. People constantly cross the road to get to jeepneys that travel a certain route. Since jeepneys can only carry a relatively few number of passengers, there are lots of jeepneys in the city, hereby causing traffic. The boxy and angular design of the mall tells us how unnecessary fancy facades are for the city, as the mall still manages to invite shoppers and diners despite having a simple yet dull architectural design of the facade. It also portrays that the city does not have a lot of malls to compete with, as simple designs like Gaisano Iligan can get away selling lots of their merchandise without being fancy. The jeepneys can cause accidents due to the frequency of people crossing roads and major highways. To have a more livable urban space, it helps that the city avails of a safer way of transportation.
