![India, noida, Uttar Pradesh][2] The above was taken when I travelled to noida to visit a friend. [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1434451327423884.jpg This picture is of a building called knowledge boulevard. It's an office complex. The three main stocks and flows that's I observed entering and leaving are given below: 1. People: this stock and flow plays is a crucial part of the complex. Though it's not a residential complex a stock of people will be seen during fixed office hours. The amount of the population that leaves after work or enters for work forms a part of the flow. Increase in the stock and flow of the population can be seen during morning hours. Huge traffic jams, people looking for parking spaces can be seen . 2. Finances: Since it is a commercial complex, finances form a part of the daily stock and flow. The amount of cash retained or in hand forms the stock and money paid forms a part of the flow. Due to a huge influx of multinational companies in this building, large amount of finances play a daily role. This finance not only gives people their spending power, profits/losses for companies but also play a social role in the form of taxes. 3. Food: people and food are necessary stocks and flows that help in forming a sustainable environment. Raw materials, processed food and wastage form a part of the flow where as the food cooked, raw and processed food which are a part of the inventory form the stock. Stocks and flows can be used to better the environment by gathering information. They influence each other deeply. When closely monitored, information and density of people can be gathered and their relation with food can be monitored. The density of people entering the workspace and areas around it cause huge problems. Better infrastructure can be designed to adequately manage the flow of people around it.
