My city does not make steel. We import most of our steel from Hamilton,Canada. My city does not make sheet rock, we import it from the Eastern Provinces, such as NewFoundland. My city does not produce a lot of vegetables because we have a long winter. We import most of it from California. We have a lot of oil in our province and we export most of it. The steel, sheet rock and vegetables remain in my city for construction and consumption. The flow of steel may change if we improve our steel recycling because we have a lot of scrap steel. We can substitute wood for sheet rock because we have a lot of wood.I am hoping that we can produce material to replace sheet rock, something like particle board. I am hoping we can use recycled materials in the housing industry. We have an efficient recycling system. Construction materials represent much flows and we have to reduce that. Presently the excess used and scrap steel is sent to another city to be processed. We should be able to process steel with the installation of a medium sized steel mill even if it functions seasonally. In the case of vegetables we are setting up green houses and this will reduce the flow of vegetables from California.Oil will always be in my city because that is our many product and we have reserves to last a long time. ![enter image description here][1] Edmonton, Canada Describe your findings based on the concept of stocks and flows by presenting the necessary information or examples.
