(1) identify the most important stocks and flows (at least three) entering, staying in and eventually leaving your area (or city). Most important stock in my city Bikaner are (1) People (local, commuters in municipal area), (2) Ground Water reserve (3) vehicles having Bikaner as destination , personal vehicles Most important flow in my city Bikaner are (1) People (tourists, outside commuters, students of other cities) (2) Surface water of canal brought by minor canal , rain water (3) trains, road vehicles belonging to other cities, tourists vehicles (2) Describe your findings based on the concept of stocks and flows by presenting the necessary information or examples. Local people, commuters in municipal area stock of people. Changes in stock of population is flow like commuters, students and tourists in autumn, spring seasons . This city is having more than 1000 heritage buildings, fort and other old monuments attracting numerous tourists per year. ![enter image description here][1] Google Map of Bikaner city www.indiamike.com image of Bikaner Fort ![enter image description here][2] travelingculture.wordpress.com --- ----more than 1000 Heritage buildings The Rampuria Group of Havelies, Bikaner Ground water which is stock of water has been rapidly depleting year by year (at present more than 900 ft deep tube wells work). Surface canal water, rain water (average 200 mm per year as Bikaner in desert area) is flow of water contributing very little to stock of water. Now govt have incentivized for ground water recharge from rain fall to increase stock of ground water. State govt bus depot having more than 800 buses , originating trains from Bikaner and vehicles for personal use make up huge stock of vehicles. Highways and other vehicles from other cities, most of the tourists vehicles on Bikaner visit, trains passing through Bikaner contributing to flow of vehicles. (3) Imagine and shortly describe how these stocks and flows could change in the future for the benefit of your area. By increasing infrastructure like airport, dry port of railway, grade separators in dense areas of the city can improve tourism business, export business of this city. Similarly, improving urban transport of the city by incentivizing non-motorized vehicles and heavy charges for on-street parking, subsidizing off-street parking can benefit stock and flow of people, vehicles ultimately improving tourism business of the city.
