Ten years ago, due to the harbour and the airport facilities, easy access to country main roads, and qualified labour, big companies arrived and changed the scenario - Itajaí developed 700% up in ten years. The main stock here is the access to the sea, which haven't changed. The flows, which increased a lot, are the companies and people that came to take advantage of this favourable logistic condition. They changed demographic density, economy profile and performance, among other indicatives of the city.
