However in civil engineering works, construction is still domainated by concrete and steel. The image shows the construction of Slussen in the heart of the city. Sweden is both an importer and exporter of steel and cement. The country imports raw steel as well as finished steel products for use in the construction industry. One of the biggest sources of steel imports is Germany, whereas most cement comes from Spain and Turkey.
