You can see the various modes of transportation: public bus, personal vehicle, and walking. It is also possible to deduce that this area is a shopping district based on the names on the buildings and storefronts. Lastly, we can see many people, presumably forming a mixed group of workers, shoppers, and tourists. 2. One form of invisible information that can be extracted from such a photo would be the percentage of people who choose to take public transportation, personal vehicles, or simply walk as a pedestrian. Careful inspection of the photo can also provide us with information regarding the makeup of the visible people. How many are workers? How many are shoppers? How many are tourists? What overlap exists between these three groups? 3. Based on which choice of transportation is most popular, one can choose to make such transportation easier and more efficient by reducing wait times at crosswalks. One could also encourage other types of transportation that are deemed more efficient.
