Exercise 2: Stocks & Flows in Lima (PerĂº)
FC-01x Future Cities (1st Run) - Exercise 2: "Stocks and Flows"

Here I'll show two different stocks & flows. The first two pictures (which are obtained from Google Maps) show the stock & flows of a construction material: wood. This material is mainly used for furniture, and several informal enterprises around a main avenue in Lima (Universitaria Avenue) import the wood and make different kind of things with it. The use of wood is massive around this zone, leading to nocive effects in transportation and pollution, since te enterprises are established in an urban zone. ![Wood informal enterprises 1 (From GoogleMaps)][1] ![Wood informal enterprises 2 (From GoogleMaps)][2] The final picture is about stock and flows of people. This is represented by migrations of people, who come from rural areas to urban areas seeking a ''better'' future. This migration leads to the invasion of lands without formal agreement with local government. This causes many problems since public services like water, sanitation, energy, infrastructure (hospitals or schools) are totally absent. Note: the picture has been taken from a website: http://gestion.pe/inmobiliaria/gobierno-alista-nuevo-plan-titulacion-tierras-250-mil-hogares-2134387 ![Migration and invasions in Lima][3] Hope to hear your opinions!
