I live in a house which is connected to electricity, gas and cold water. I can control heating of the house and hot water by the boiler. My house is quite new, about twenty years old, and all mains are in the underground. On the one hand, facades of a house look better with hidden mains. Also the underground distribution decreases the possibility of damage to the mains. On the other hand, in real life I have seen two problems with this system. One of them you can see on this photo. Repairing the gas mains blocked half of the road. There is a big traffic jam next to my home now. Another problem is that hidden storm drainage collects rainwater from the roof of my house and I couldn't use rainwater for watering my garden in dry weather this summer. The underground distribution of resources has some benefits and drawbacks. I am satisfied this system as a customer. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14169285023443133.jpg
