Top livability criteria: - Housing (1) - Environment (2) - Safety (3) - Healthcare (4) - Sanitation Standards (5) 2. I live in Antwerp, Belgium. - 1. In the city center, or even just in the city for that matter ( not in a rural area) - 2. Close to work - 3. Close to the railway station, good transportation infrastructure - 4. Multicultural neighbourhood - 5. Good apartment, value for money ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14500989921058527.jpg Image taken from Google Streetview: Railway Station in Antwerp, Belgium, with lots of good transportation (train, subway, tram, bus, bike,...) 3. Scores: - 1. 80/100 - 2. 50/100 - 3. 80/100 - 4. 95/100 - 5. 95/100 Average: 71/100 Score I would give, just empirically based: 70/100, so the two results match very well surprisingly! 4. More green space in the city! The lack of proper parks is a real downside to living in Antwerp. It’s a very car-oriented city. The city council leaves valuable space unused or takes in my opinion often wrong decisions. Their priorities are very different from what I consider to be livable. 5. If I move: - 1. Ghent, Belgium - 2. Brussels, Belgium - 3. Stockholm, Sweden Advantages there: - 1. More green space - 2. Different, more social atmosphere - 3. Close to friends and family - 4. They are all considered to be big(ger) cities, not rural area, which in my opinion shouldn’t further be built upon as there’s only very little countryside left - 5. Good social security
