Being one of the extensive harbors of India and one of the oldest colonial port cities of the world, the city is invited with major water-based transports giving potential to infrastructure possibilities toward the seas. The image of Apollo Bunder expresses the hierarchy of the water transport across the old and the new city of Mumbai. There are small fisherman boats, ferries for tourism, ferries for regular travel, boats of the military force and the yachts of the elite class, all assembled in one dock, though very haphazardly.
