The main tower in the photo is the Torre de las Telecomunicaciones or Torre de Antel and it is located in Montevideo. This tower is known for the modern design and the high expenses it had by the end of its construction in 2002. At the time there was not in the country a qualified industry or workers that could build the majority of the tower. So most of the materials got to be brought from foreign countries. Like the steel used for different structures was from Chile, and the steel used for the reinforced concrete was from Argentina. The glasses for the facade was brought from Greece.
