This country doesn't produce any building material exept from sand. As an engineer who works for a project in Qatar I know that all materials are imported from many, different countries. Concrete is coming from Italy or Greece, glass from United Kindom, plastic pipes and wood from Germany, steel from U.A.E. and a lot of other materials from Saudi Arabia, China or India. The machinery also originates in other counties such as Germany, Japan or Sweden. Even the work force is a mix which is derived from all over the world, most of them are Indians and Philippinos. Finally, the techonoly and the knowledge that is used on site is result of researches and developments that arrive from developed countries of Europe or America.
