This photo of a Precast Construction site in Chennai was taken by me during my internship I did at the company. This Technology as a hole is completely borrowed from countries like Singapore where it is a widely used method for constructing residential buildings. In India it is relatively new technology and is less used the Housing Sector. Since the topic of Precast is not thought with importance in the education system so hardly engineers here know anything about it so the company hires people who have worked in countries like Singapore and the Middle East in this field though most of them are Indians. The company also gets its design and plans done through Architects based in Singapore. This shows that in a country like India where at least the Housing Sector used to be a localized one has now reached towards the Global economy to improve itself [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1414160185244660.jpg
