The building will house mainly government offices. The construction process is highly localised, with Australia producing a large amount of steel. However, a lot of the tools, materials and machinery are sourced globally, with Australia importing many construction materials, like steel and concrete. A lot of the materials and machinery come from America, but most of the imported materials come from Asian nations like China, with Australia shifting many of it's economic interests to the Asian region. We can also see the logo of Brookfield Multiplex, the construction company overseeing the project. This company is a contracting and development company, and although it began and is based in Australia, it operates in countries all throughout the world, with most of it's business in Europe. We can see from construction projects like this that even local government construction projects are highly globalised, and require tools and even management from all over the world.
