It is completely true that in a globalized world the construction process uses different materials, having as a decisional element more the quality and the price then the proximity of the materials location. As the course already mentioned, there are countries that are “importers” and other “exporters” of construction materials. Beyond the materials, there are other components that have been also imported/exported as for example the knowledge, the workers and the technology. Regarding this last point, I have found in Barcelona a machine used in the restructuration of a street. It is a special truck from the Japanese company Komatsu, which manufactures military, mining and construction equipment. It is important to consider that also other elements have been shared around the world, improving the construction process, with more safety, accuracy, velocity and a better price. The technology is an important element, since is the key of the progress. Some of the most amazing buildings being built in the last century wouldn’t exist without the improvement of the machinery used. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14145394879604139.jpg
