I choose this building because it's an icon of the city that I'm living today, and actuallt is a contrast compared to the rest of the city. As the majority of cities in Ireland, Sligo is really small and has traditional construction in its houses and other buildings. The construction of this contemporary piece of architecture it's a mark of the globalization of construction in the world (either for type of construction or for types of materials).
