Considering distances among the materials, factories, and the building site, builders would choose the nearest ones to reduce the cost. In this case, the reinforced concrete construction, which needs a great amount of steel and concrete. The steel are imported from China and processed into bar-shape in factories in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The raw material of concrete may come from some quarries in Hualien, Taiwan. In my opinion, the location of the construction is the key point to decide where the materials are from.
