This photo was taken in Germany, and shows multiple different styles of building all built around each other over the years. There's the mixture of the old stonework, the 20th century brickwork office blocks, and the super-modern tower block with the dark glass and concrete, next to the "ball on a stick" communications tower. The mixing of the old traditional localized styles with the global modern "concrete and glass" style is becoming more and more common throughout all major cities.
